About This Tour
The West Highland Way is one of the most magnificent Scotland walking holidays, covering 154km between Milngavie, just north of Glasgow up to Fort William on the shores of Loch Linnhe, with Ben Nevis waiting to greet you on the final stretch.
Although you won’t have many ascents, you definitely have wilderness, including Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the wilds of Rannoch Moor and the Glencoe peaks. This itinerary takes ten days, walking an average 19km per day. Stay in a mix of small, mostly locally-owned hotels, B&Bs and traditional guesthouses, with luggage transfers.
Included
- Pre-booked accommodation as per the itinerary on 9 nights in B&Bs, small hotels and guesthouses
- Full breakfast each morning
- Door-to-door luggage transfers on all walking days – 1 piece per person up to 20kg
- Access to your digital pre-departure information (your accommodation list, GPS map of the route, baggage transfer information, itineraries, route information of cafes, restaurants, local bus timetables, etc.)
- 24/7 phone assistance by our local office / representative

Tour Map
This is a shortened version of the complete trail along alpine mule trails up to Splügen Pass (2,115m), which connects these two countries with the most beautiful of borders. But our Via Spluga short break still takes in the trail’s valleys, gorges and waterfalls all the way into Lombardy. This trip is a favourite with our dog-walking customers, not just because it’s a moderate level trail, but also because it’s reachable by rail if you are travelling from within Europe.
