About This Tour
In 2010, a groundbreaking scientific expedition unveiled the wonders of Makay, resulting in the creation of the pioneering 3D documentary “Makay, Adventurers of the Lost World,” co-produced by Gédéon Programmes and Canal+. We bring this unique Makay experience to life with a well-trained local team of guides, trackers, porters, and cooks, supported by a robust logistical setup we’ve developed over several years.
Imagine immersing yourself in the heart of Makay, trekking through its sandy terrains, navigating the labyrinths of deep canyons, and crossing vibrant forests draped in moss, ferns, and palms. This expedition – where participants need to be in excellent physical condition – offers a rare glimpse into a world where animal and plant species have thrived in isolation for millions of years.
Our tour prioritise eco-friendly practices, ensuring that your exploration supports conservation efforts and benefits the local communities. By choosing this journey, you are directly contributing to the local economy, providing essential support to the communities in Makay through employment and sustainable development initiatives.
